Projects
Each year TASC’s Executive Board selects a State Project and invites all TASC member schools to participate in this project. The state project for 2007-2008 is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. All TASAC member schools are encouraged to plan and carry out a project during the year that will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If your school is trying to accomplish TASC’s Platinum Award, your school needs to make a donation of at least $500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There is no minimum amount required for other schools to participate in the state project.
Schools that raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation should send their donations to the Make-A-Wish office in their own region of the state (East, Middle, West Tennessee). There are offices in Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis. By sending donations to the office that is located in your school’s area of the state, money that is donated will be used within a school’s region. Once your school’s donation has been made, you are asked to fill out a project report form and send it to TASC’s Vice-President (see State Project Report Form). Schools filling these report forms will allow TASC to keep up with a statewide total of donations that can be announced and celebrated at the spring state convention.
